The network I have built over the years as a well known Toronto beauty blogger has led to the opportunity to work with brands such as NESTEA, Huggies, and Jamieson Vitamins.

Toronto Beauty Reviews – Beauty Review Blog
I research, write, edit and publish blog content, and also manage and edit contributor content to ensure each post is SEO friendly and meets my brand’s aesthetic. In this role I also create a schedule of blog posts and promote blog content via social media scheduling tools such as Buffer. Interacting and engaging with each of my readers is a priority by responding to their comments and questions directly on the blog site, through email or on social media.
As Toronto Beauty Reviews continues to grow, contributors have been brought on board to aid in the review of products and services. As the editor I provide editorial direction, schedule timelines and ensure quality posts are written and published in line with the brand.
I have built a strong personal brand that has garnered the attention of national brands and PR companies such as FCUK Canada, St. Joseph Media, Biotherm, Shoppers Drug Mart, Buick Canada, L’Oreal Paris Canada etc. In addition I have been a blog ambassador for several large brands aiding in the promotion of campaign launches and building brand awareness. Some of these brands include Aveeno, Tria Beauty and Matrix Biolage.

Contributor to the Style Democracy blog proving content focused on reporting trends and beauty tips. Through understanding the brand’s goals, original and strategic content was created to help them connect and engage with their audience. In this role I developed initial marketing strategies for the business and event promotion by planning, coordinating and executing monthly in-studio events attended by media, clients and beauty enthusiasts. Through my established relationships and networks I reached out to media and bloggers and promoted the brand through the team’s social media account.
Spark Sessions – Fashion and Beauty Blogger Conference
As an executive committee member of Spark Sessions my main role was to identify potential speakers and secure their participation for the workshops and conference held throughout the year. The main contact for all the speakersI was responsible for handling speaker logistics leading up to and on event day. I was also integral in social media promotion and interaction through twitter, facebook and content creation for the website, blog and newsletters. Assisted in other aspects of the conference such as programming, marketing, operations and sponsorship.

I was sought out to coordinate a media launch event for the client’s new product “DesignHer Kit” and was responsible for researching and reaching out to relevant media and blogging outlets to cover the product launch event. I was able to successfully earn coverage for the event, product and crowd funding campaign, and was credited with generating media mentions of the product on several media outlets including “CityLine” which led to an increase in orders for the client.

Consulting the client on media/blogger relationships, I was able to develop the client’s first social media strategy which included creating an event to help build blogger relations by providing services that introduced bloggers to the brand and client. I handled social media activities on behalf of the client on Twitter and Facebook and was onsite to act as media relations during the event.

Responsible for coordinating two events for the client in the same week (team photo shoot + media launch event and social community event), I was successful at seamlessly executing both events by reaching out to media and bloggers generating interest and media mentions for the launch event. By using my established networks I was able to secure donations for the social community event honouring women of the WoodGreen.org Homeward Bound program through high profile brands such as LOFT, The Body Shop, Kiss Nails and Blush Pretty.

In December 2013 Flirt Custom Lash opened the doors at its newest location at 777 Richmond St West. After getting through the Christmas season and some of the winter, I wanted to make an official announcement to the press that FCL was now downtown. I turned to Elaine to help co-ordinate this effort, she suggested a “Lash and Learn” . . . an opportunity for the press to come see the new space, chat with me, meet the FCL lashettes while watching a live lash application. A brilliant idea! And one I hadn’t thought of. From that point forward, all aspects of the event were handled by Elaine…The Lash and Learn was flawless and ran without a hitch; an event with as many moving parts as this one had could have been a disaster. Elaine was also an hand on the day of the event…guiding media and staff effortlessly though the evening.
Hiring Elaine to take care of this allowed me to focus on the daily aspects of my business while making a grand entrance into the Toronto market. In a business focused on image, how you present yourself to the public is important. It’s with confidence that I put the image of my brand in Elaine’s hands.
